Provision of basic infrastructure like good class rooms, furniture, drinking water, toilet facilities etc was accorded top priority. Old and dilapidated buildings were replaced with suitable  structures with proper moving space and ventilation; sufficient benches and desks were provided; staff-rooms and other office rooms were thoroughly renovated. Either existing wells were cleaned or new one dug or bore-wells provided; necessary plumbing works to ensure supply of drinking water inside the school premises were provided; new buildings were constructed; compound walls were either repaired or newly constructed; Laboratories and Libraries were refurnished and updated to Virtual Lab & E-Library; facility for imparting the basic training in computers was provided with sufficient number of PCs in each school.
